Recent media speculation regarding the progress of negotiations between Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and General Electric (GE) for the local production of GE-F414 engines has been addressed directly by the Indian aerospace giant.
HAL has issued a clear statement refuting claims that discussions for the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk2 program’s engine component have stalled.
According to HAL’s official statement, the company asserts that talks with GE are, in fact, advancing smoothly and are well on track according to the established schedule.
