The Indian Navy is ready to commission INS Tamal, its newest guided-missile stealth frigate, on July 1 in Kaliningrad, Russia. This pivotal event marks the induction of the eighth and final Krivak-class frigate acquired from Russia, a development that not only strengthens India’s naval capabilities but also underscores its strategic shift towards greater self-reliance in warship production.
Constructed at Russia’s Yantar Shipyard, the INS Tamal is a formidable addition to India’s fleet.
